I must admit this worked better than I was expecting! I got this for my parents so that they didn't have to lug their heavy standard vacuum cleaner up and down the steps they can leave this one downstairs for the hardwood floors and so far so good they really enjoy it. The suction power is pretty good, it's easy to empty and the filter looks like it's reusable you just need to rinse it.
