The fact that it is foldable makes it easy to carry for indoor and outdoor use. Just pop it in your bag and is ready to go.
Being portable with a built-in rechargeable battery makes it a great choice for a night-light The lamp is touch sensitive with a 3-level dimmer so you control the brightness. You can also charge the lamp with USB if so desired. I use it for extra light where I need it while cutting out patterns. It is a great craft light. On a green note this little guy is energy efficient. I have had no problems with it as of now.
