This heating pad heats up very quickly and gets hot enough to help relax my muscles. It has a temperature choice of 1 to 10 (High) and timer from 10 to 90 minutes. It is soft and comfortable. I haven't tried "misting" it yet for moist heat as I have had no need to, but I'm sure that works well to. Great heating pad...great size.
