I bought two of these cars in the same week: one to play with and chase my cats around the house, and the other to gift to a needy child.
I much prefer this one over the other one, eventhough they are both Uttora products.
THIS one has a better layout when it comes to the remote control. The buttons are easier to use because they're shaped to fit a thumb perfectly. The antenna come pre-attached. I don't know if it's necessary because the other model car doesn't have one, but it's there and it sends a quick, accurate signal to the car.
The car has two on modes: lights or lights WITH sound. Since the sound is loud and not in English, I found it annoying and only used the lights option.
Instructions are a little hard to understand. They basically use pictures, and not much is actually written or told to you. I had to bo gack to the website where I bought the item to find out how long you had to charge it for (about 2 hours for 25-30 minutes of play time). On this model there is nothing that lights up to tell you it's plugged in correctly. And at first, when I plugged it in, it didn't seem that the plug fitted, but I knew it had to go in deeper to make the connection, so I pushed, and it snapped in.
What they didn't tell me which greatly annoyed me is that the rechargeable battery inside the car was NOT connected prior to shipment. So I wasted two hours of charging time only to find out that I had been charging nothing. I took the bottom off the car with the included screw driver, and there was the rechargeable AA battery completely disconnected from the car. I snapped the two wires together and then had to spend another two hours waiting for it to charge up.
The remote uses two AA batteries, and they're easy to install using the small screw driver that comes with the unit.
Charging is via a usb port that you can plug into a stand-alone device or from your computer.
Car works great--runs great, spins all over the place. My cats aren't afraid of it, but I still have some more chasing to do! LOL
