I bought these for a child in elementary school and he has loved them since opening the package. The binoculars have a good feel to them and seem to be made of good quality. While the binoculars do have a "playful" feel to them, they are as good as any other binoculars you can find for a child of this age range. I was honestly quite surprised at how good they are for the price and the size. I wish I would have bought another pair, but there's still time to do that. :)
