When I first bought this, I thought it would be the small really scratchy jute I’ve gotten in the craft store in the past. I was shocked at how large the spool was. Trying to describe it, I’d have to say it’s still scratchy, yet it’s softer than regular jute. And the strands are tested more like a yarn. I’m planning on crocheting a bag with this one.
