My husband wanted something to keep him active at his desk job and this has done the trick. It won't exactly work under the desk if you have a low desk, but can easily be put to the side if need be. My husband is able to use it without issue and he is a husky 6 foot tall guy No issues with balance, but he did feel a bit like he was an oversized kid riding a tricycle.
