My 8 year old granddaughter loved it. She played with it for hours. I bought it for my 3 year old grandson, but he lost interest in it after putting on and taking off the letters a few times. So, I would say for a child 5 or older it would be a great thing to keep in your car for travel or entertainment in a restaurant. Great learning tool for numbers and letters too.
