For Christmas my husband bought me a pressure cooker. We have used it nonstop since. I LOVE my pressure cooker and how easy it is to make a meal for my family in less than 20 minutes. LOVE the convenience. And because of how convenient it is, I wanted some new accessories to go with it. I have been wanting a steamer basket for awhile. Now I have it, but have no clue how to use it! Time for me to spend some time on YouTube researching recipes with steamer baskets.   This is a stainless steel basket that has stainless steel handles to pull it out of the cooker. It has larger holes in the bottom than I expected, though. I know most of the veggies and foods I would be steaming are going to be larger than the holes in the bottom, but if you want to steam peas or anything smaller, expect them to fall through.   It also comes with a stainless steel egg tray. You put the egg tray in the bottom of the pressure cooker and then place your eggs in each of the holders. My pressure cooker came with an egg steamer, but the holes for the eggs seemed way too big. I never tried the one that came with it, but may try this one since it looks like the eggs I buy will fit in it just fine. I typically buy large or extra large eggs, and feared they wouldn't stay on the steamer tray in the other one.   I think the egg steamer tray might be the best way to steam things in the basket, though. I am not sure how to use the steamer basket without having something underneath it because then it would be sitting in the bottom of the pressure cooker pot. This is designed for a 6 or 8 quart, which is what I needed since I have a 6 quart. I thought perhaps it might hold itself up above the water on the edges of the pot since mine is not the 8 quart, but it sits in the bottom. I have to use something to hold it up out of the liquid to get the steaming properties to work, so will have to use the egg holder to do that if I do not have something else in the bottom already (like meat).   It also comes with a silicone sponge. I just picked up a few other silicone sponges and have loved using them on my pots and pans. They don't scratch it and make cleaning easy when things are not baked on and stuck. If they are crusted on, you will need something a bit stronger or will need to let it soak to soften it first. But the silicone sponge easily cleans things off, getting in all those grooves and holes easily without leaving any scratches or marks on your stainless steel or dishes. I also like the fact that they are silicone, so won't hold ick and gunk in them the way regular sponges do. No place for the nasties to grow and multiply like in a sponge, granted you wash it well and get everything out of the small bristles.   Overall, this is a great set and I am happy with what I got. Now to do that YouTube research and see what I can make with it! Tonight is supposed to be kielbasa and veggies - potatoes and such. Maybe I should do it as a pressure cooker meal and give them steamer basket a try!   #RankBoosterReview #sponsored #Tomods #pressurecooker #instapot #instantpot #steamerbasket #instapotsteamer #steamedfoods #healthyeating #healthycooking
