I thought this would be more of a novelty item, rather than something I would carry with me in my purse, but after seeing the amount of mist this little thing puts out, I got a few ideas of it's potential versatility and usefulness. The water reservoir is small, but lasts a surprising long time for the amount of mist it puts out. I live in Arizona, and during the summer our average temperature here is somewhere around 100-1110 degrees. So I thought it might come in handy to have not just a little fan to blow the hot air in my face, bt have something that would actually cool me off instead. It works perfect for that anytime ||I need to take the sting out of my face when I'm out in the sun here. After a few days of enjoying it's intended purpose, I started to get creative and realized this device has so many more uses I hadn't even considered when I made my purchase.
I am an avid outdoorsy person, but Mother Nature seems to had it out for me. I'm always the one covered in bug bites, and the first to get sunburnt. LOL So I got an idea one afternoon while using my new mister to cool off a little, to kill 3 birds with one stone. I am also an avid user of essential oils, and I just so happened to grab my homemade essential oil bug repellent while I was using the mister... So I thought why not add a few drops of my repellent to the water reservoir and us the mist to evenly apply it all over my exposed skin? It works like a charm! I make sure I take it apart and thoroughly clean the entire inside when I get home, because some oils will compromise the plastics if left inside too long. But I've been adding a few drops of my oils everyday for various purposes, and I never leave my house without this now! The only reason I took a star away, is because it uses quite a bit more battery than I expected, and it's kinda awkward to have to hold my phone upside down to use it. I always have to choose to either use my phone, or my mister, which sometimes I don't have time to do both, but need to.
