Although small this leash is actually really good, used it to walk a 14 year old beagle that probably ways more than 22 lbs and it worked great with her. Love the reflective shield on it which was great at night when I was walking where not many lights were and the car lights reflected off of it. Great length in the leash and super happy that the leash is flat rather than the corded leash that I find most come with. Overall, would highly recommend to anyone with small dogs.
