I have a couple doors in my house that do not have stoppers and the handles hit the wall.  These work well.  I had some issue wuth them sticking at first, but no problems now.  They are a bit small, but do the job.  I also put one behind my bedroom door where I have an overe the door coat rack and sometimes hits the wall.
