BEGINNER’S POLYMER CLAY SET

~ What ~
This set includes 24 small soft Polymer clay, 14 tools, and a set of jewelry accessories. Each colorful block measures 1.57 by 1.18 by 0.51 inches and comes in all the standard rainbow colors including white, tan, and black. The set arrives in a gift box, and instructions are included.

~ Why ~
Having a degree in art, I love showing different mediums and how to use them to our 5-year-old granddaughter when she visits from out of state. I like that this set includes a plethora of colors, not the basic yellow, red, and blue. Being able to boil or bake the clay to cure it makes it easy to work with and quick to complete. Including the carving clay tools as well as the eye pins, earring hooks, ring, barrette, and other jewelry-making staples are appreciated bonuses.

~ Why Not ~
Some artists are very picky about the brand of Polymer clay, but this is a beginner set targeted to children. Others may not like working with clay as your hands tend to dry out sometimes.

~ Wish ~
It would be ideal if the set included a mold or 2 to use with the clay. I wish the online drying directions matched in the Bullets and Description as they are different baking times. The box arrived damaged as Amazon shipped it in a package, not box.

~ Want ~
If you are looking for an inexpensive set of colorful clay for the first-time artist, this one is a great starter set for the price.
