You truly never know what you are going to get when you buy furniture pieces over the internet but I was fantastically suprised when this arrived.  It is made very well and sturdy and is evenly made and not wobbly.  The seat is covered in a velvety material and is very soft to touch.  The seat is firm so it should hold its shape.  I am loving it!!
