As a guitar player, I checked some things that I would on a guitar. First off, I didn't see any blemishes on the ukulele and there was no glue smeared out from the joints. Appearance wise, the ukulele is beautifully designed, and I was very pleased with it. Second, notes played 12 frets (octive higher than open) aren't too far off from the note that it's supposed to be - the intonation fairly good. Third, no buzzing strings on any fret or open. Personally, I like the tone of this ukulele so my rating is a little biased in that direction. The only thing I can think of that could have been done better, is that there is too much string wound around the tuning pegs when I first got it; the only thing this affects, though, is the amount of time it takes retuning for the strings to stay in tune.
The bag that came with it is a good quality bag. It isn't one of those cheap plastic ones. Nothing to complain about with the bag.
Overall, this is a great ukulele. I would prefer buying this one than a 15-30 dollar one.
