We have an older car and do not have an auxillary input option.  This not only charged my phone quickly, it also allowed us to stream music from my phone as well as my old school Mp3 player.  The audio was good, not as good as playing a cd, but sounded well enough to enjoy the music.  Also allowed us to make hands free calling.  This item is sturdy and has continued to work over the months with no issues.
