I love this blanket! It's whimsical and I sleep with it every night. Mermaids are loved by young, old, and in between alike which is what makes this even better. The blanket/tail is so warm and comfortable. I'm someone who wears a blanket if I'm on the couch or bed no matter the temperature and this is the perfect size to do that. The tail opens about halfway up to "get" into. The fin area is thin and can't fit two adult feet into but small feet could. The tail opens up also so you don't have a closed tail all the way down. If you are looking for a knit mermaid tail blanket, you can't beat this one at the price.
