The color adds spark to my desk! I like writing on this so much better than my desk or the old style desk pads that are hard and lumpy. There is no need for a mouse pad. It was very well packaged. Of course, it came rolled so I put it outside in the sun to get it to lay flat. It didn't take long at all. Best desk mat I have used.
