This is my first time ever owning a battery operated sifter. It's pretty Amazing ! You put two AA batteries (not included) ito the handle portion of the sifter and just press the button on the handle and and it quietly vibrate at a pretty high rate and the flour pours out perfectly silky !! I really appreciate this sifter as I am getting older and have some arthritis in my hands, so this make it much easier for me as I love baking and cooking !! The screen on the bottom removes easily to clean. I really love it !!
