This is a charger that allows you to recharge a number of different battery types, both in you home / office using the AC cord, or on the road using the included lighter socket cord. It has a digital readout that displays battery level, time remaining, and charging current, for each battery independently. It is a very smart device that senses the batteries you install in it so it charges each battery to it's capacity safely.
One note: batteries are available in rechargeable and single-use versions, please pay attention and make sure you only charge those batteries designed to be recharged. Attempting to recharge single-use batteries are hazardous to your charger, your house, and your life (as in flames, explosions, etc) if you know what I mean. If in doubt as to the type of battery you have, don't charge until you can confirm it is appropriate.
