I'm not sure about it keeping boxsprings or mattresses together, but when using it to keep sheets from pulling up and off the corners of the mattress (instead of those suspender like straps), it was fairly useless. I do have a memory foam bed, so it would likely work better with a mattress with a solid frame inside, but for anyone else with a frame free mattress that'slooking to solve their sheet struggle, I suggest passing.
