I use this for both my laptop and Nintendo Switch. I have had no issues so far. Easy to use and easy to carry. The monitor at work and home automatically detects the adapter and displays from the device. My devices are not 4k so I cannot tell you how the quality is for 4k display. Overall, a great adapter for eveyday use!
