These storage containers are made out of heavy duty cardboard. The storage boxes have minimal assembly. It took my 14 year old all of 5 minutes to do. There is also a very sturdy cover to the container. These storage containers are perfect to put any room into order. There is a see through side to the box. I put my crochet accessories in one. I might use the other for yarn
