With stay at home orders and school being entirely virtual, I have been unable to get the youngest enrolled in preschool. My high schoolers have their own curriculum, lesson plans, and everything planned by their teachers, but since the 4 year old is not yet enrolled, we are doing homeschool entirely on our own. We want to ensure she has a routine in place and stays busy while her brothers do school, so she is doing "school" alongside them. We have a subscription to ABC Mouse and have it set up on the netbook computer for her, but know she won't be able to sit for too long and do online learning so needs active learning activities, too. So she has magnetic letters, workbooks, puzzles, and now this whiteboard that she can use. It was actually a bit cheaper than I thought it would be, feeling thinner and flimsier than the whiteboards I was used to using in my own classrooms when teaching full time myself, but it works. It has an easy write on, wipe off surface and comes with three small whiteboard markers (though we have a stash of expo markers ready to use, too). It also comes with some letter shapes, magnets, and magnetic erasers. The magnets are not super strong, but the board is not super thick and durable, so I can't expect too much from a magnetic surface. But it works. We are not planning to hang it, but to use it on the table with her, so she can easily write things, draw pictures, and erase things when done, or can use it as a magnetic surface with her magnetic letters for matching upper case and lower case letters. Overall, it is not a bad little set, just not as high of quality as I was hoping to have on hand.
