I am very pleasantly surprised at the quality of these coasters. They are cork backed so they don't scratch or crack my glass tables. I decided to test out how they handled stains; so for science I squeezed ketchup directly onto one of them, waited a few minutes and rinsed it off, no stain! I do see a slight red tinge but nothing a good scrubbed wouldn't be able to fix. My largest mug fits nicely on top with some room to spare, always a bo us because I LOVE my coffee.
