I have never been a scrapbooker or one to keep photo albums. I love to take pictures, but am not creative at all when it comes to organizing them or displaying them in eye appealing ways. I have always admired the works of others and their creativity in fashioning scrapbooks, but have never attempted one on my own. I thought maybe I might try my hand at it with this kit, though.
And honestly, this kit still sits there waiting for me to put things in place. I have assembled it and looked at everything, but that is the furthest I have gotten. I do not have pictures printed up and ready to go, do not have any ideas for how to arrange things, stories to share, or any additional embellishments other than what came in the package, and am honestly not sure when or if I might find the time to do anything with it. I think I am just not meant to be a scrapbooker.
In this package you get the scrapbook pages, the cover, the rope to tie it all together, and a few embellishments to add to it. The cover is a cardboard type but designed to look like cracked and aged leather. It is almost 11 1/2 inches long and a little over 7 1/2 inches wide. You get 40 sheets of light brown paper, giving you that aged look once more. According to the Amazon listing, that allows you to hold up to 160 photos, but I am not sure what size photos those would be. You also have some stickers and postcards you can add to the pages to add more personality to it.
If you are wanting a vintage looking photo album to document your history and memories and adventures, this is a great option. I am not really in to the whole scrapbooking thing, though, so doubt I will use it myself. I am thinking I may gift it to a family member who loves being craftsy and making her own scrapbooks, though. I think she will really enjoy it.
