No thanks

I thought this looked cool and decided to try it out. I figured I could use it to help trim the hair around my face. I hate using scissors to do it because then you get a straight cut, so wanted something that would kind of hide the straight edges more and give it a nice, natural look as it lays. This looked like it MIGHT be able to help me with that. But I was a bit disappointed when I saw it. It is simply a straight razor with a comb overlaid on it, all on a handle. It feels cheap to me and you can't take it apart to change out the razor inside, so have a lot of waste when you throw the entire thing away. When I tried it out on my hair, I was even more disappointed. I tried combing it over the edges of my hair to remove about an inch from the hair that hangs and frames my face. Since it is longer, I used the side of the comb designed for long hair. I had no luck combing. Nothing cut, nothing fell, not even a shave. So I held the hair tight and slid it across the hair in a downward motion. Better luck, but still not what I expected. I only got a few hairs pulled free. The only way it really cut was when I used a lot of force and used it in a straight down motion directly on the hair. Not combing. And I was left with that hard straight edge where it cut, the edge I wanted to avoid, the edge I got when I used scissors. I actually had to go back over the hair framing my face and clean up the places the razor comb didn't cut anything. I honestly don't know who would benefit from using this. It is not something my family will be using.
