I bought this because I have the note 8. It's a big phone so it's hard finding a mount that will hold it without falling apart. This mat is amazing. It holds my phone well while I drive. I haven't used the holding cord so I can't speak on that but I love that this mat doesn't leave any marks. Even the suction cup mark on my windshield is a pain so I love this mat for that. My phone is heavy enough so the mat doesn't slide around. It is made of premium silicone gel material, no magnetic or adhesive needed which is a huge plus. And if you notice the mat does start to slide all you have to do is clean the bottom gel. Once too much dust and dirt gets on it, it doesn't stick like it used to. Super easy to fix that problem though. Overall, this is a great quality mat. I highly recommend this to anyone with a bigger phone. You won't be disapponted!
