Since the boys' dad lives 2 hours away, we do a lot of back and forth traveling with the kids to pick them up and drop them off. It never fails, one falls asleep on the way home. They have always been great at traveling, sleeping almost as soon as the car starts up. But I hate how they look when they fall asleep. I am always wishing I had thought to put a pillow in the car for them. I was instantly intrigued by this pillow when I saw it listed for review. I thought it would come in handy for us when traveling.
The pillow is not large, being just a little wider than a seat belt and about 12 inches long. It is the perfect size for easily cradling a head. It is soft and fluffy, being covered with micro-suede. The inside is a polyfil cotton pillow that is designed not to flatten or become misshapened. The pillow can be removed from the cover to allow you to wash things easily and then reassemble for your next roadtrip.
The seat belt pillow opens with velcro on the back allowing you to wrap it around the seat belt. Once attached you can easily slide it up or down the seat belt to the position you need, having instant comfort for travel. It is actually quite comfortable. I was pleased with how well it works, being of such simple design. I am keeping it on the seat belt in the car, ready for roadtrips so that I do not forget to put it in before we go on a roadtrip.
This has been a great purchase for our family, though we haven't had the chance to take a trip yet. But we will have that opportunity soon because Thanksgiving is coming up next week and the boys will be heading to their dad's. And since this set comes with two, I have one for both boys!
This is a must for any family that spends any amount of time in the car. It is much smaller than travel pillows and so much easier to use.
