When I first opened the pack I was a bit disappointed with the frosted bulb... but when getting it out in the garden they look lovely. They give off a nice glow and the remote works just fine! To be honest you can control it from the battery box, so not too much of a concern.
It has multiple functions including a timer function.  Great light set for indoor or outdoor use
