these are so terribly small. The measurements are listed, but the photos on the listing make it look much larger than they actually are. These will be great for tiny hands but the list cost does not reflect the quality. We tested them at the park we hike and the range is more like 1 mile. I'm not sure if wooded areas interfere with the range capabilities, but I would not feel confident sending my children into the woods with these as a safety measure. They are for play only.
