I have these magnetic hooks scattered throughout the house for various things. They are a bit weak though, and wouldnt hold up a pair of canvas sneakers, which I'm pretty sure is well under 12lbs, that would require multiple hooks. Maybe combined they all hold 12lbs..but at that point just pick up some command hooks from the dollar store. They are still useful...for some things.
