Love this raincover!

With all of the campouts the boys do  you never know what they will get in to. I only have one backpack rain cover currently so picked up this one so that both boys would have one to stuff in their packs for those "just in case" incidents. This one is better than the other cover I have because it has straps inside that you can wrap around your pack and secure it. The edges have elastic around them that help you keep it over the pack, and it is made of a thick, waterproof material. It can be used as a rain cover, which is the original purpose for it, or for any number of things. I have told the boys they can wrap things in it if need be, they can sit on it if they ground is wet, and so on. I encouraged them to be creative. It is not heavy and can roll up to a small size. It comes with a pouch to put it in so it doesn't unroll on you and get caught on things. And there is a small carabiner on the bag (though it is not the strongest and sturdiest of carabiners - we actually replaced it with a heavier one) so you can keep it on the outside of your pack for easy access and don't have to stop and open your pack and dig through it. This gives you the ability to quickly pull it from the hanging bag on the outside of your pack and stretch it over, to spread it out and sit on the ground, or to carry things in - or whatever else you might be needing it for. Definitely a good backpack cover and a great addition to our camping gear.
