This is what I'd consider small and not really compact. I'm giving five stars because it does what it's supposed to do. It protects fromrain, wind and the bright sun. Only thing that bothers me is it isn't compact, if it was it would fit in my purse which was why I bought it. It is a cute design and works well, just not compact but small.
