Ready for the elements

      I recently picked up a new hiking backpack for my son. He is excited about getting to use it this weekend at his campout, but pointed out to me it did not come with a rain cover. I reminded him that rainy season in our area is pretty much done and there is not much chance of him actually NEEDING a rain cover any time soon. But he was worried about not having one, so I made sure to get one for him.   This rain cover is large enough to fit over his pack, which is a 50L, with room to spare. Even if he stuffs his bag full, he will still have some room left over without having to worry about it not fitting. It is waterproof and dustproof, and will protect his pack regardless of the elements. It has elastic around the edges that help tuck it in under the sides of the pack. And it has an elastic velcro piece that he can attack to the top of his pack to keep it from blowing off. It allows it to be rolled up and secured, too, being easily accessible when he needs it.   And if all else fails, he can always pull this out and use it to sit on, too, keeping his rear clean and dry while resting. Or he can set his pack on it to keep it off the ground. However he wants to use it, he now has it, since there isn't much chance of rain on any of his upcoming campouts over the next few months.   This is a great low cost waterproof cover for your pack. It can cover a lot and works well.
