I got this adapter to watch videos off of my phone on a bigger screen. When I first got it I though I could just plug the HDMI cord up and put the piece in my phone and it’d work, but that’s not the case you have to also have the charging cable plugged up too. It says this in the directions and I clearly didn’t read them first. I love the whole concept of it. I do have one negative thing to say, I live in the country and our WiFi goes out quite often due to the weather and I tried to use my phone service internet and was unable to while connected with the HDMI adapter.
