I have always used a similar product which was made of plastic. These were too small in the cup and actually eventually would break.
This metal version is not only very heavy, it is extremely powerful. The metal does not seem like it will react with citrus juice or rust/tarnish. The bowl is very large and comfortably fits the fruit.
