So this is compatible with the Amazon Alexa. The great thing is that you can control the item you want from wherever you are at by just using the app. We have our lights in the living room set up with these outlets. This one works the same way. This is a great for when you are out of town for work, on vacation or have someone house sitting for you. The difference between this one and our others is that this one has a USB port to charge your electronics. The only thing that I dislike is the size of this one compared to our other ones.
