I haven't been able to find a pumpkin to carve yet, but I did try these out on a watermelon. Those are usually harder to ut into, and these tools made short work of the simple designs I was attempting. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wanted more than the crappy ones you get with the pattern books in stores.
