I wanted a soldering iron to make my own net cups for my hydroponic garden but did not want to spend a lot of money on one just for this purpose. This was perfect for me. The price was right and it did not take me forever to learn how to use it. It heats up very quickly and is simple to use. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles but it works great for my intended usage.
