Bought this boat to enjoy with my kids at the lake. The remote control requires 2 AA batteries (not included). It is a great entertainment, but I think it is a little overpriced for its size and capabilities. Besides, the remote control came with a missing screw and a little scratched. It comes with a charger and rechargeable battery. The remote antenna is a little difficult to attach.
