I was skeptical because some reviews were not positive.  In my humble opinion i think it's a great play carpet for kids. Granted i have not needed to wash it yet.  The material is good it's kinda like a door mat carpet. Its perfect for my son's small room.  So far it's been a hit with my 8yr old.
