Love the color choices

For the past year or so I have been collecting various solar products to put out in the backyard to create a glowing atmosphere that beckons and welcomes you to the yard. I saw this glowing solar ball and thought it would be the perfect addition to the collection.   The ball is a decent size, being about six inches or so in size. The picture angles taken on Amazon are definitely ones that make it appear much larger, so be sure you read the description and aren't disappointed when ordering. But I didn't want something large enough that it appears to be a seat. I just wanted something that glows and catches your eye.   This ball allows you to choose from 16 different colors and 4 different lighting modes. There is a switch on the bottom that you can use to turn it on. It says you can use this to control the colors, too, but it comes with a remote that makes it much easier. I love the remote because I can put the ball out in the yard and then use the remote to set the color to whatever I want.   It is supposed to be solar, but I am not sure how that works. It doesn't have a solar panel anywhere on it, so I assume the material used to make it is the type that soaks up the rays and then glows. I used it indoors at first (it makes a great nightlight in the baby's room), but set it out last night to see if it would work. This morning when I went out to check it (at 5am when it was still dark out), it was not on. I wasn't sure if I didn't push the button to turn it on or not. I didn't try using the remote with it, though, so tomorrow morning I will go out and try it again with the remote if it is not glowing.   There is a port on the bottom that allows you to charge it by usb. It seals off nicely to allow you to keep it closed up from any moisture. The ball also has a hook on the flat bottom that you can use to hang it. I love the pictures they have of multiple globes hanging, all done in different colors. I would love to recreate that look if I had a patio or something to hang them from, but can't. I may pick up another two or three to set out in the yard if I can figure out the recharging capabilities without usb.   I love the look of it, as well as all of the colors. I think it is a nice glowing globe. I did not put it in the pool, but I think it would be cool to set a bunch of them out to float with the various colors.
