Love this speaker. Let a friend take it for the weekend and was unable to truly test the solar charging ability. Even if that does not work, this is a great sounding speaker. Does not hit the base hard and is not too tweeny on the highs. Provides a nice balance. Should probably be used in small venues as it does not get terribly load. Tried it on a street corner during a running event and with the road noise we had probably a 20 feet of decent hearing ability. I would have no problem suggestion this to a friend.
