The replacement light is no better than the 1st one I received. . .
1. Charged in full sun. - OK
2. Pushed button in back to turn on - OK
3. Mounted on wall so when someone walks in front of it, it gets bright. - OK
4. At Dark, the light comes on Dim - OK
5. Walk up to light to check it- - - Nothing happens - - - Light stays Dim.
6. Walk across in front of light at about 4 ft distance - - - Nothing happens - - - Light stays Dim.
7. Wave hand in front of light - at about 3 inches - - - Nothing happens - - - Light stays Dim.
8. Grab light to remove from wall - - - Now light gets Bright. . . . USELESS LIGHT.
. . . If I wanted a solar powered / rechargable Flashlight I would have purchased that instead of this!!
The Up-side. . . This makes a nice night light, with sufficient lighting to a room... even in the Dim mode.

This light is interesting, to say the least. . . .
What it is Supposed to do- - -
When you turn it on from the switch in the back, if its dark,
the light will stay on and be dim. When you walk past it, it will light up bright.
Then it will go back to dim. . . .
I suggest that you mount the light where it will receive the Maximum amount of sunlight.
Because to me, having this light stay on with a dim light will drain the battery. . .
(However--- it only stays on when it is dark).
I had issues with the first light I purchased, and the company replaced it with a new one.
