This set of 10 MICKYU brushes claim to be high quality....they really aren't but they also aren't terrible brushes.
The bristles are better quality than you would receive in a typical craft that provides a brush and paints. But compared to some of my better brushes these aren't as good. The handles are thin and I think even with good care taken the gold part connecting to bristles to the handle will break away. The painted wood of the handle seems cheap, I personally think it will crack fast.
Final opinion- yes these are good for beginners and maybe a good set to have in the house for kids. I do really like the plastic palette, it's not flimsy and is reusable.
I got my set deeply discounted but the sell for $15.99. This set seem more worth it for 9.99.
