These are a good size and are plenty loud to get someone's attention. They each have a flashlight on them for a little extra light when you need it. I keep mine in my purse in a change purse so I don't accidently pull out the pen that is attatched to a strap. I get it out and carry it when I walk alone or feel like I'm not safe.
