I've been using this for a few months now and I can tell that there's a difference. But the key is, to engage your core and not really use the momentum to spin the ball. It does make quite a bit of noise, but it's not incredibly terrible. I really like feeling that I'm making a difference, because as soon as I am improving in weight, you can take off one of the notches from the hoop.
