These are really good radios to use with children. We had to replace the rubbish ones sold for children, so I decided to spend a little more and buy proper radios. They are really clear when speaking and a three year old can be taught to use these. Now we can play police or firemen without bad reception and they will last for years as they are well built. They use AA batteries which is a bonus because the 9v batteries most radios use are a pain to fit and get out when dead.
