Any more, in case of an accident a video of the incident might make all the difference with the police and your insurance company. This tiny camera starts recording as soon as you turn on the ignition and continues recording, in 3-5 or 10 minute files until you reach your destination. You can set it to operate in 720P, 1080P or 1296P resolutions, your choice. If you park in an unknown area, you can enable motion detection, so it will record while parked if it detects motion. You can optionally set it to record audio within your passenger compartment with the built-in microphone. It even has a G-Force sensor, so it will start recording if it feels your car being bumped or jarred. It has a built-in rechargable battery to operate it in the G-Force and Motion modes. Your videos are date/time stamped also.
It includes a 16GB Micro-SD card, long and short USB cables, USB adapter for cig lighter socket, and 2 types of mounts (we are using the suction mount) and manual. By using the suction mount, we can move it to another windshield location, or even a different vehicle, as we wish.
It is a tiny display, which is fine. This device is not designed to be used as a driving aid but rather insurance in case of an incident.
